Thirty years inside engineering, pointed at the QA problems that matter.
SoftwareAssurances is a small QA consulting practice with one belief: most engineering organizations don’t need more process — they need a clearer view of where quality actually breaks down, and someone who’s lived through fixing it before.
The practice was built on nearly thirty years inside software teams, across gaming, ad tech, and SaaS. The work has spanned everything from greenfield automation in early-stage startups to QA leadership at mid-size organizations — building tooling, hiring teams, redesigning processes, and shipping under real pressure.
Today we focus on the QA challenges most engineering leaders are quietly wrestling with: test automation that doesn’t hold up, teams whose roles haven’t kept pace with the engineering org, and the shifting landscape of AI-assisted development. We work on those problems with the people closest to them.
Four principles we won’t bend on.
Practitioner-first
Strategy without hands-on credibility is just opinion. Every recommendation we make is something we've actually shipped — from Playwright suites to hiring frameworks.
Honest scope
We say what a project will cost, what's in it, and what's not. We say no to engagements we're not the right fit for. We'd rather lose a deal than oversell.
Make teams better
The goal is never to embed permanently. We work alongside your engineers, teach what we know, and leave behind a team that runs without us.
Modern, not trendy
We adopt new tools when they earn their place — AI-assisted test generation included. We don't ship hype, and we won't recommend something we haven't put to work on real projects.
